The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, a public cultural institution that operates under the authority of the Cluj County Council, organized on Thursday, May 19, 2022, the final conference of the project Innovative Techniques in Capitalizing on Cultural Heritage. The icons from the Sebeș Valley from the MET collection, financed by the EEA Grants 2014-2021, within the RO-CULTURE Program.
The day started with a training given by the association NUDA AS (project partner), which focused on the impact of multimedia technology in museums. After the course, the Project Final Conference began. The project was presented, emphasizing one of its results, 66 icons restored or preserved in the project, which are the subject of an innovative exhibition opened at the headquarters of the institution. After the presentations made at the conference, the participants had the opportunity to visit the exhibitions within the projects and to experience the VR technology. The event ended with a press conference.
The exhibition can be visited in physical form, but also through virtual reality, at the institution’s headquarters (str. Memorandumului no. 21).
